The dust has settled on our second MCN Festival of Motorcycling and what a fantastic weekend it proved to be....

Held over the weekend of 14-15 May at Peterborough Arena, thousands flocked as people were treated to non-stop entertainment throughout both days and an unrivalled opportunity to test this season's hottest new bikes.

Visitors saw racing legends battle it out in the Transatlantic Trophy race series, enjoyed stunt action and shopped throughout the huge retail, club & autojumble zones.

The show featured classic bike parades of top-class machines and demonstrations of championship-winning sprint bikes, the stand-out feature of the MCN Festival was the wide variety of opportunities to get involved on two wheels.

Manufacturers as diverse as BMW, Bultaco, CCM, Ducati, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha brought along tons of demonstrator bikes between them and for those who fancied a blast from the past, the National Motorcycle Museum provided test rides of classic machines on a closed course.

Live entertainment was laid on for campers throughout the weekend; Chris Walker led Team GB to a decisive victory over Colin Edwards and the Americans in the Transatlantic Trophy flat-track races, while stunt aces Steve Colley and Dave Coates displayed their exceptional skills throughout the weekend.

With 112 exhibitors in the Retail Zone, festival-goers were spoilt for choice, with everything on offer, from specialist parts and tools to the latest clothing, accessories and gadgets from big biking brands.

The MCN Festival of Motorcycling will return to Peterborough Arena on May 13-14 in 2017.
